Wrapping pallets: 3 fully automatic options
Your product is packed securely and the filled bags are neatly stacked on pallets. All that remains is to wrap your pallets tightly and prepare them for transport. But how should you wrap your pallets?
There are many types of pallet wrappers ranging from semi-automatic to fully automatic. Ausloos provides both options, but mainly specializes in fully automatic wrappers. We have 3 types in our range: turntable wrappers, arm wrappers and ring wrappers.
1. Turntable wrapper
When using a turntable wrapper, your pallet stands on a ‘table’ that rotates. The film is placed in a column next to the turntable wrapper and moves up and down until the entire pallet is wrapped.
Benefits:
A turntable wrapper is the perfect option if you have limited space or do not require high wrapping speeds. A turntable is also suitable for corner installations.
Suitable/unsuitable for:
Because your pallet rotates during the winding process, a turntable wrapper is less suitable for pallets with an unstable load.

2. Arm wrapper
With an arm wrapper, your pallet remains stationary and the film carriage sits on an arm, which rotates around the pallet in order to wrap it.
Benefits:
The arm wrapper can handle higher speeds, averaging around 40 to 50 pallets per hour.
Suitable/unsuitable for:
The arm wrapper is a good solution for wrapping unstable pallets. The arm wrapper can also handle very high or large pallets without any problems.
Most sold:
TOSA 119 for slightly lower speeds.
TOSA 120 for higher speeds.
3. Ring wrapper
With the ring wrapper, your film carriage is on a ring, which wraps the film around the pallet at high speed. As with the arm wrapper, your pallet remains stationary. The ring moves up and down around the pallet.
Benefits:
Wrapping your pallet with a ring wrapper is often the fastest method. A ring wrapper can reach speeds of up to 120 pallets per hour.
A ring wrapper also gives you the most options for personalization: you can wrap from top to bottom, bottom to top, top wrapping only. In other words, you can set up the machine to meet your exact requirements.
Suitable/unsuitable for:
Suitable for almost all pallets, both stable and unstable.
Most sold:
TOSA 123. This wrapper can handle the highest speeds. The TOSA Savitar is TOSA’s top machine for very high speeds.
